First day of school and one fun day

We couldn’t get him to wake up this morning. He must have known it was his first day of school.

Twenty minutes later we went back to check on him and this is how we found him. He crawled back into the covers.

We dragged him out of bed and eventually made it to his first day of puppy class. He’s taking classes at the PetSmart in Mountain View. Here is daddy holding him in class.

After some basic obedience training, Preston got bored and decided to take a little nap while the teacher was speaking.

In his class, he met a very nice classmate named Bob, an American Mastiff, who was 6 months old and already 120lbs. Bob sitting was taller than Preston when he stood on his hind legs.

After he successfully completed his first day of puppy school, we took him to the dog park. There were a lot of dogs there today for him to play with.

Loosing his manhood

Today was a sad day in Preston’s life as he was neutered. This was done at Palo Alto Animal Services which provides neutering at a very reasonable cost. After he got home that day, he was so out of it for the next 24 hours. He didn’t want to play and didn’t want to eat. He just wanted to sleep. From this picture, you can see how tired he was that evening.

Puggle on the loose

We were in for a BIG surprise one day when we came home from work. I eagerly came home to let him out of the crate, but when I opened the door Preston was standing near the door greeting me with a “suprise and I did something bad” smirk. When we left him this morning in the crate, mommy must have forgetten to lock it leaving him full access to the apartment all day. From the look of the apartment, he really enjoyed himself all day. He had time to explore every corner of the apartment and chewed on everything he could get his paws on. Luckily he didn’t have “accidents” anywhere in the apartment all day. Whew !

Rainy Day

Preston put on the raincoat mommy got him. He is the cutest puppy on the block. He LOVES the raincoat because he has figured out Raincoat = Going out!

Did my bed shrink?

After mommy scolded Preston, he tried to hide in his bed. However, he’s grown so big that he no longer fits anymore. But that didn’t stop him from trying to squeeze in.

Profile shot

We were able to get this profile shot of Preston when he was really tired and able to sit still for us.

First Beach Trip

We took Preston to the beaches near Half Moon Bay along Highway 1. He was a little intimidated by the waves and kept his distance from the water but he did have a lot of fun playing with sand. A lot of cleaning up to do for Mommy afterwards though…

Daddy please don’t go

Preston tried to prevent daddy from going on a trip.

Big Face

Preston was so exhausted that he allowed mommy to finally take a close up picture without him eating the camera. One minute he was awake, the next minute he was asleep.

Napa Valley

We went to Napa this past weekend and we took Preston with us. Luckily the weather wasn’t too warm so that when we left him inside the car it wouldn’t get too hot. When we visited Sterling Vineyards. we took him outside and he enjoyed running around the grass area and walking around the vineyard. I think he even enjoyed eating one of the grapes that are used to make Merlot. At that time we didn’t know that grapes may be poisonous to dogs in large quantities. No, he didn’t get to drink some wine, he’s still a puppy. It was a bit chilly outside and so he was wearing his sweater.
