A failed attempt

Great auntie Amy were planning on hiking Mission Peak this weekend. Mommy and Preston thought they would come along since they had such a great time hiking up to the summit last time.
The hike started at 7:30am this time!

However, after this…

Then this…

And finally this…

Mommy decided to take Preston home. Preston did not make it to the summit like he did last time. Why? Because he got too excited and used his energy up at the trail head. Plus the 2.4 lb he put on when mommy and daddy were on vacation did not help either!

  1. OHOH! We hope this doesn’t mean no treats for Preston! What a lovely climb! You’ll make it to the top next time – we’re sure of it!

    Love ya lots,

    Hey There,

We got weighed last week too. We’re both close to 33 pounds each. That means together we’re…….let’s see.33 plus 33 is ………………..Geez Louise. that’s a BIG number !!!!

BTW……….Love the boots. Our wardrobe is not nearly as “High Fashion” as yours.

    Hugs x 2

  3. Preston,

You always succeed at all that you do! Those hiking boots sure do look cute…but I can never wear them, I’m a birthday suit kinda gal. You’ve been up the summit before, and I’m sure you’ll make it up there again!

I guess Uncle Allen was very generous to you when your Mommy and Daddy were on vacation. You were kind of on vacation too then. I just hope you do not have to go on that “diet” thing. That is no fun!

    Hugs,

LOL, that is cute. My little guy does that when I try to command him to go pee – he’s 10 weeks so it is slow coming.

Oh Preston… You will have to have Mommy put you on the treadmill more… No more couch potato! I am sure you will make it next time. We don’t have as many mountains here, but maybe we can walk the Charles some day! (Lucky for you, cause it won’t be as steep!)
Keep up the good work and you will be back in shape before you know it… Don’t tell my Mommy, but I probably put on a lot more then 2 lbs this winter! shhh! hahaha

    Licks!
    Kylie

Oh Preston, don’t worry about not making it to the top of the summit. I can TOTALLY understand being excited and using up my energy quickly. You still look great with a couple of extra pounds. A little bit of running around and you will drop them no problem. 🙂
    Love Clover xo

Preston, you need to lose some weight! Heehee! You look terribly exhausted in the pictures… I don’t think I ca go that high too actually if I’m being honest with you. *snort snort*

    Love licks,

Pee/s: NO, NONE, ZERO Beagles entered for the trials so you’re safe.

  10. Marian says:

Hi, I also have a puggle that is extremely large for his breed. He is anywhere from 52 to 55 pounds (depending if weighed on a good day or bad..lol). Though the face is a bit different, your dog’s body, pouting lay position is so much like my Cash.
