Bark in the Park 2008 is taking place this Saturday.
Preston got to the event late and missed the “Silly Trick Contest” but after the embarrasment last year, Mommy wasn’t so sure about being on the stage with Preston again.
Preston met Rocket, a tri-colored puggle. Preston got to share some of Rocket’s treats. The poor Bulldog looked very jealous.
Mommy recently started taking some classes. Preston is NOT happy with sharing attention with Mommy’s textbooks.
Mommy came home a bit later than usual today…and found this…
Preston had a sleepover weekend at his best buddy’s house.
Milo and Preston just couldn’t get enough of each other but the big sister, Mina, didn’t want anything to do with the boys…

After coming back from Pfieffer Beach, Mommy and Daddy realized that Preston’s eyes need protection from the sun and wind as much as human eyes do. They got Preston a pair of Doggles®. These Doggles® provide 100% UV protection! (Thanks for Uncle Karl’s great suggestion!)
To Mommy’s surprise, Preston accepted his new Doggles right away.
Now, he can ride in a SUV like “King of the World”!
Or, ride in style in a convertible.
“Hop in, Mommy! Let’s go for a ride!”
Daddy was back from Boston for the long weekend. Preston and Mommy couldn’t be happier!
The whole family drove down to Big Sur, CA, about 3 hours south of San Francisco.

Arriving at dog friendly Pfeiffer Beach. Doggies were supposed to be on-leash…uhh…not sure who got the party started first.
Preston’s beloved Uncle Allen is moving far far away to the other side of the planet. Preston said goodbye to him today. It will be awhile before they see each other again. Preston is extremely sad to see Uncle Allen go but wishes the best for him.
Uncle Allen is going to be 6000+ miles away!! Good luck in Taiwan, Uncle Allen!
Preston will remember all the good time they shared together.
Preston visited two dog parks this weekend. On Saturday, Mommy took him to Ed Levin Park in Milpitas. This is probably the cleanest and best-maintained dog park Preston has been to.
Preston was the first to arrive at the park. He was a little disappointed and kept looking toward the parking lot hoping more dogs would come.
Yeah! The grey hound brothers showed up. Preston had a great time running with them. This made it worth the $6 park entrance fee!
Preston checked out another dog park on Sunday, Drigon Park in Union City. This place is awesome! There are a lot of doggies to play with and also agility equipments for Preston to try out.
Preston’s friend Clover sent him a surprise package all the way from Ottawa, Canada!
It was sent more than a month ago but Preston didn’t get it until today… Ottawa must be far far away!
Preston couldn’t wait to open up his surprise.

Preston stole the hockey stick when mommy was taking the picture.
Preston has gotten many compliments for his white teeth.
The secret? He is very good in letting mommy brush his teeth every night! (and the vanilla and peanut flavor tooth paste helps too.)
His upper teeth are just as pearly white!

“Puff Fish” is one of Preston’s favorite stuffies.
FYI: According to Dr. Dana K. Vaughan, Dogs are “color-limited”, not “color-blind”. “dogs do see color, but in a more limited range than that seen by normal humans, who see the rainbow of colors described by “VIBGYOR”: Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red (plus hundreds of variations on these shades). Instead, dogs see “VIBYYYR” (Violet, Indigo, Blue, Yellow, Yellow, Yellow, and Red).”
So it is not surprising that Preston can tell his Blue, Pink and Yellow Puff Fish!
