Mommy is back!

Mommy missed Preston so dearly when she was away.
Daddy put Preston in his study room when he went to work. It could get quite lonely being home alone all day. Mommy had remote access to the computer at home so she could start the home computer remotely and set up a video conference with Preston through a webcam. Isn’t technology a wonderful thing? Mommy got to chat with Preston everyday when he was alone at home.

Meet Gilli, Grandma and Grandpa’s beloved dog in Taiwan. Gilli is the family hero. Grandma and Grandpa has a beautiful garden but occasionally on warm summer days, there are unwelcomed visitors in their garden…snakes! (scary, huh) When that happened in the past, Gilli was always the first to find out. Sometimes, he just took care of them on his own. Hope Gilli continues protecting the family but stays safe at the same time. Thank you, Gilli!


Mommy is back from her trip. She didn’t bring home any dog treats because she didn’t want to get in troubles at customs for bringing in any meat products. Those sniffer dogs at customs are very good at their job, like this one Mommy saw in Houston airport…

But she did bring home some yummy human treats that Preston was also lucky to be able to get a bite or two.
Two of very well-known snacks in Taiwan-
Cow’s Tongue Biscuits (Niu-Se-Bing) and Sun Cake (Tai-Yang-Bing)

Mommy was also excited about her flight layover at Tokyo’s Narita Airport because she could get the famous Hiyoko– buns shaped like a baby chick.

    How neat that you got to talk with your mom was she was away, Preston! We wish our mom was that clever when she leaves us to head to FL to visit gram and gramp!

    Welcome Back Preston’s Mommy! OH Preston, how lucky that you and Mommy could chat via the computer!! You are one technologically advanced puggle!

    Gilli is a gorgeous dog! What breed is he? He looks very smart!!!

    Thank goodness that cow tongue snack isn’t real cow tongue! That freaked Mommy out, BOL, but those little chickie treats are so adorable!! Glad Mommy shared with you!!

    Wow, Preston would still listen Mommy command through speaker! this is soo amazing. Bcoz I tried talk to Piggy through phone, he just starring at phone and continue to sleep….

    oh preston you must have missed your mommy so much. but that is so cool that she was able to talk to you on the computer everyday. if jack knew where mommy kept the treats and could reach them like you could they would be gone. you are such a smart puggle!

    Preston, you using the computer is so cool! I hope your mommy enjoyed her trip! I’m sure you two really really missed each other. Thank goodness for technology!

    Tell your mommy that next the time she is on international soil, that it is okay for her to bring back meat products, as long as it is packaged up in a preserved form. They definitely do not allow any fresh products. We don’t blame her for not trying because those customs people are a pain in the neck! It would have been nice to have been able to try some new treats though.

    Gilli is so precious! Such a brave pup!

    We know you must be so happy to have your mom home – not to mention all the treats she brought. Hope you’ve gotten over your inappropriate resource guarding and had a nice visit with your puggle friend.

    Your Uncle Gilli in Taiwan seems to be a hard working, very responsible doggie. And handsome as well!

    Welcome back to your Mommy, Preston!! Ooh – Hsin-Yi is SOOOO jealous of those snacks! They are some of her favourites!! How come your Mommy and Hsin-Yi share so many things?! 😉

    Your Uncle Gilli is a handsome fellow – very distinguished! And what a talent too!

    And wow – that webcam thing is SOOOO clever! Hsin-Yi got so excited when she read about that – you must ask your Mommy to tell Hsin-Yi how to turn on a computer and operate it remotely!
