Preston is going to have to make a big adjustment. He is leaving the apartment that he grew up in and moving in to a completely new place.
The new home is only 20 minutes away but Preston will have to say good-bye to his usual dog parks and make new friends in the new dog parks.

A last minute inspection making sure mommy didn’t leave anything behind.

Arrived at the new home and exhausted from the move.

					Guess what Preston was doing?

He was hiding his rawhide!

Preston has no problem with destroying his stuffies…Mommy has performed surgeries on almost everyone of them.
The most recent victim…the horse.

However, Preston is especially gentle with Danny the duck. He carries it around all the time and treats Danny like a baby. Danny still got its original paper tag!

Today, Preston found a baby bird on the ground. He was very curious about this little creature but treated the baby bird gently like he did with Danny. He left the bird alone and hopes baby bird finds its mommy.

Time flies! It is Redwood City Pet Parade again!
Preston dressed up for the parade like he did last year.

Preston was walking in front of the Little Red Riding Hood and “Granny” weim in the parade.

Preston was performing the “circle around mommy” in the trick contest. He also completed the “Nike Ball” trick this time.

Preston got Second Place in the trick contest (again!). The first prize went to a very smart beagle who could jump through the hoops.

					What is “reverse sneezing”?
“Reverse sneezing…is a phenomenon observed in dogs, particularly in those with brachycephalic skulls (like pug, boxer, shih-tzu..). Its exact cause is unknown but may be due to nasal, pharyngeal, or sinus irriation (such as an allergy) or the dog’s attempt to remove mucus. It is characterized by rapid and repeated forced inhalation through the nose, accompanied by snorting or gagging sounds. It is alarming to the owner and may be distressing to the dog, but is not known to be harmful to the animal. Most dogs are completely normal before and after episodes. In addition most dogs will have repeat episodes of it during their lives.” (by Wikipedia)
Unfortunately, puggles are prone to reverse sneezing. It doesn’t happen to Preston very often but when it does, it is hard for Mommy and Daddy to watch. Here is what mommy usually does when Preston is having an episode and it seems to help.
1. Cover his nostrils, this makes him swallow. 2. Massage his throat. (and 3. A big kiss!)

Preston went cherry picking with Mommy, Daddy and Uncle Allen in Brentwood, CA. There are lots of orchards in Brentwood but most of them do not allow pets. After promising to behave well, Preston was permitted in one of the cherry orchards.

Preston wasn’t allowed in the peach orchards but he is looking forward to enjoying the fresh peaches daddy picked.

The topic of this week’s contest is “Me and Stuffies”.

Here is another shot. Thanks for making mommy and daddy laugh every day, Preston!

Preston went swimming at Great Auntie Amy’s house this morning. Mommy didn’t bring his life jacket so he was a little nervous about getting into the water at first.

But he quickly got comfortable in the water and had a lot of fun playing fetch with mommy in the pool. He is a great swimmer.

The poolside party continued after Preston got home. Auntie Karin and Uncle John came over for the poolside barbeque.
Preston was drooling over his dinner: Grilled Salmon and Doggie beer!
