Mochi Ice Cream

Work has been keeping Mommy very busy lately. Not only did mommy work long hours last week, she also brought work back home. When Mommy was working at her desk, Preston kept bringing his toys to Mommy one by one. They soon piled up around Mommy’s desk.

To make it up to Preston, Mommy gave 100% (almost) attention to Preston this weekend and shared “Mochi ice cream” with him. It is a Japanese rice cake with ice cream filling.

Mommy & Daddy Return

When Mommy and Daddy were away, Preston had a wonderful time with his friends Mina, Milo and Maui (Mina & Milo’s cousin).
Here are some pictures Auntie Rebekah took.

Mommy and Daddy were wondering if Preston had so much fun that he would forget about them.
Guess Mommy and Daddy didn’t have to worry about that…

Mommy and Daddy are going to Uncle Allen’s wedding in Taiwan. Yes! Preston’s beloved Uncle Allen is getting married on New Year’s Eve! Welcome to the family, Auntie Angela!
When Mommy and Daddy are on vacation, Preston will be spending time with his buddies, Milo and Mina. Thanks Auntie Rebekah and Uncle Marsh for taking care of Preston. Mommy helped Preston pack up all the stuff he will need and the gifts for his friends.
See you in three weeks!

Hot Puggle

Mommy always wanted to get Preston one of those hot dog suits. She finally found one that fits Preston perfectly.
Isn’t Preston hot?

Preston was upset with Mommy for making him wear the silly costume. He was giving mommy his angry face.

Preston preferred using the costume as a pillow.

The Unfortunate Duck

Mommy found Preston hiding something under his pillow like he did with his bones (dig, hide and cover!). When Mommy flipped the pillow over, she found this.

Preston has two ducks. Remember how gentle he was with his Danny? Danny is still his baby. But the other duck was not as lucky.

Dog Park Injury

Preston was injured in the dog park by another dog today.
A dog came to the dog park with his parents who just adopted him from the shelter two weeks ago. Mommy was happy that he found a new home but did not think he was quite ready for dog parks. He was aggressive towards the first two dogs he encountered and was asked to leave by the other dog parents. His daddy explained that he wanted him to get used to being around other dogs. He was put on a leash but apparently his daddy still did not have full control over him. Mommy was worried about Preston because he always had to make sure that he greets every dog that came into the park. Mommy wanted Preston to stay away and he did at the beginning. Then, Preston remembered he hadn’t said hello to the newbie. Before mommy could stop him, the mean dog grabbed Preston’s face and wouldn’t let go until his daddy made him. Mommy was heartbroken to find a very deep wound on Preston’s face.

It’s a li’l stinker!

Good guess, everyone!
There are many skunks in the neighborhood where Preston lives. They usually come out at night and make Preston’s late night walkies or potty runs quite an adventure. Mommy thinks the little stinker costume would be a great disguise and keep Preston safe.
You think Preston can fool the real stinkers?

“yeah..it is me!”

He does look like a cow, doesn’t he? That was a good guess too!

Sukiyaki Treats

Mommy got some Sukiyaki meat (thinly sliced beef/chicken) from the asian market this week and made Preston some beef and chicken chips.
Mommy laid the beef slices on the lightly greased foil. They were ready to go into a 200F oven.

Slumber party

To celebrate Milo’s speedy recovery from his foxtail ordeal, Milo and Mina invited Preston over for a slumber party.
Uncle Marsh picked up Preston on Friday night. Mommy was sending Preston off.

It must have been a great party. When mommy arrived at Milo and Mina’s house the next day…

Preston visited the dog park near Milo and Mina’s house and met a puggle named Wade. He is the BIGGEST puggle (40 lb!) Preston has ever met. (Preston is the butt sniffer in the picture).

It was Mommy’s birthday on Saturday but Preston looked more excited about the cake (that he couldn’t eat!) than mommy did.
